Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational ethical culture, locus of control, Machiavellianism, and moral reasoning to whistleblowing intentions on academic fraud. The theory used in this study are the Theory of Accounting Behavioral and Theory of Planned Behavior. The population in this study is the S1 Accounting Major students of Sriwijaya University class 2016. The samples used in this study were 190 respondents with the simple random sampling technique. The data in this study were obtained primarily through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this study is a multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that organizational ethical culture, locus of control, and moral reasoning have a positive and significant impact on students’ intentions to conduct whistleblowing, while the Machiavellianism has a negative and significant impact on students’ intentions to conduct whistleblowing.
