Abstract
Ti-6Al-4V is one of most-used-by material on Aviation Manufacture Industry because its high strength and high endurance when facing high temperature. Within its specialties it had, Ti-6Al-4V has classified to hard-to-machine material, because this material has low thermal conductivity at 6,7 W/moC. So when it machined, heat that had been generated in cutting process will be concentrated on lathe and not on chip. Because of this, Simulation had been made for Ti-6Al-4V, aiming to know temperature distribution generated on chip when turning on process. This simulation using cutting parameters which refers on previous research done by Soe, et al., ( 2012). Machining condition that has been using is Cutting Speed 150 m/min, feed rate 0,2 mm/rev, depth of cut 1 mm, and cutting length 9 mm. Simulation Result on this simulation process will be validated using previous research too see if there is difference on temperature distribution generated on chip on turning process of Ti-6Al-4V.
