Abstract

In this study, the researcher focused on the investigation into the use of digital technology in teaching English. The researcher choose all English teacher at Junior High Schools in Lawang Kidul, Muara enim as a sample for this study because the writer found that some of English teachers in Lawang Kidul, Muara Enim still have some difficulties with Digital Technology in teaching English. The Questionnaire of The Commonwealth of Learning (2016) were used as the instruments to collect the data which were analyzed statistically by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science). The questionnaire that will be used to collect data about teachers’ point of view and understanding on the use technology in teaching and learning English. The result reveals that English teachers in Lawang Kidul Muara Enim, have good perceptions of Digital Technology (ELT Media). And the majority of the participants are using Digital Technology (75%) while 25% are not using Digital Technology in Classroom for teaching English. The data analysis result shows that the teachers have a good understanding and view of media as the average score is is 24 of 32.
