Abstract

This research entitled “The Development of Socio-Economic in Kalidoni sub-district, Sei Lais, Palembang, South Sumatera in 2001-2016”. Focused on the changes of the social-economic of the Komering community in the Kalidoni sub-district, Sei Lais Palembang, South Sumatra, in 2001-2016. The research design used in this study was historical design. The design was used a systematic framework to collect historical sources, by providing criticism in selecting facts, to obtain the truth and present it in the written form also to interpret and analyze the data. The social aspects observed in this study included the social life among the fellow Komering community and the social life with other tribes in the Sei Lais urban village, the community systems, the number of Komering communities in the Sei Lais urban village, and also observing the development on the aspect of religion, education and the livelihoods. Moreover, the economic aspects observed in this study included agriculture, plantation, and fisheries. The social and economic changes of the Komering community in Sei Lais Urban Village were influenced by the willingness of the community to develop and the insight on the importance of the education and health, and also the increasing number of migrants. The developments in the economic aspect included the growing of the livelihoods and the improvement of the science in agriculture. Key words: Social, Economic, Community. Penelitianinimenggunakanmetodepenelitianhistoris, artinyapenelitianmenggunakankerangkasistematisuntukmengumpulkansumber-sumbersejarah, denganmemberikankritikdalammemilihfakta-fakta, untukmemperolehkebenaran dan menyajikannyadalambentuk tulisan sertamelakukaninterpretasi dan analisis data. Aspek-aspeksosial yang diamatidalampenelitianinimencakupmasyarakatKomeringdalamkehidupansosialantarsesamasukuKomering dan kehidupansosialdengansuku lain yang berada di Kelurahan Sei Lais, sistemmasyarakat, jumlahmasyarakatKomering di Kelurahan Sei Lais, dan juga mengamatiperkembanganmasyarakatKomeringdalamberagama, pendidikansertamatapencahariannya. Sementaraaspek-aspekekonomi yang diamatimencakuppertanian, perkebunan dan perikanan. PerubahansosialekonomimasyarakatKomering di Kelurahan Sei Laisdipengaruhi oleh kemauanuntukberkembang dan wawasanmasyarakatterhadappentingnyapendidikan dan kesehatan, dan bertambahnyajumlahpendatang.
