Abstract
The biocriquette made from a mixture of o palm oil shells added with banana peel and tapioca , with a composition of 80g oil palm shell, 30g tapioca and 20g kepok banana peel adhesive. Carbonization using by furnace with variation temperatur and time. The characterization was carried out using analysis of water content, ash, carbon, volatile metter, and colori value with the results referring to the SNI 01-6235-2000 standard. The best treatment was obtained of 90 minutes and 600ᵒC. That is to produce a moisture content of 4.86%, an ash content of 6.45%, 42.62% of volatile metter, 44.65% of carbon content and a calori vaalue of 14377.05 Cal / g. From the data obtained, it shows that the palm shell biobriquette that has been made, 3 characterizations, namely moisture content, ash content, and caloric value meet the SNI 01-6235-2000 standard. Meanwhile, 2 characteristics, volatile metter and carbon content, have not met the SNI 01-6235-2000 standard. The carbonization results showed that the higher the carbonization temperature was proportional to the length of time the carbonization was carried out, resulting in a large calori value.
