Abstract

The research aims to know about effect of utilization Sri Soedewi’s orchid garden assisted discovery learning model on mastery concept in ecosystem material. The research design used was Quasi Eksperimental Design in the form of Nonequivalent Group Design. Determination of the study sample using probability sampling with the type simple random sampling data collection was done in class X.Mia 5 as an experimental class and X.Mia 4 as a control class with the number of students in each class of 34 students. The research data was taken with a instrument test in the form of multiple choice questions consisting of 20 multiple choice question. Data analysis using SPSS 23. Research data were analyzed with significance normality test and continued with homogeneity test along with t-test ending. The results showed that there was no significant increase in learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0,37. The average value of the initial test was 53,08, the final test was 76,61, and the value of the index was 49,88. Based on these results it was concluded that learning model by utilizing the Sri Soedewi’s orchid garden with assisted the discovery learning model could not effect significantly improve the mastery of concepts in the ecosystem material.
