Abstract

This study aimed to be able to understand and analyze how the portraits and also the constraints of coastal communities in managing marine products (a case study in Tanjung Labu Village, Lepar Pongok District, South Bangka Regency). The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method, in which the collected data were generally presented qualitative and descriptive. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation, which were collecting data based on documentary reports related to the portraits of coastal communities in managing marine products. While the data source used were primary data obtained from the research location, in the form of interview with research informants, and subsequently supported by secondary data related to coastal communities in managing marine products. The theory used was the ethnometodology theory proposed by Harold Garfinkel which defined that a human experience in daily life was described in terms of conditions that described the conditions and activities of coastal communities in managing marine products. From the analysis of the discussion this thesis would look at the plan, management and supervision of coastal communities in managing marine products.
