Abstract

Agricultural countries such as Indonesia agriculture have an important role both in the economic sector and in the food needs sector for the people of Indonesia. The objectives of this study are: 1) Describe the behavior of rice farmers in Sei Lais Village, Kalidoni Subdistrict, Palembang City on income, 2) Analyze the income of paddy farmers in Sei Lais Village, Kalidoni Subdistrict, Palembang City, 3) Analyze the correlaction between rice farming and income in Sei Lais Subdistrict, Kalidoni City District Palembang. This research was carried out in Sei Lais Sub-District, Kalidoni Sub-District, Palembang City. The location selection was done intentionally (purposive sampling) taking into account that the Sei Lais Village has potential swamp land which has an effect on climate change. Data collection at the study site was conducted from April to May 2019. The research method used was a case survey method. The sampling method used is simple random sampling. The results of this study are 1) The behavior of farmers in trying swamp rice farming is in the medium criteria with an average score of 31.72, 2) Production on average is equal to 264,34 (Klg / lg / yr) with the average price obtained average of 40,000 (Rp. / can), then the revenue obtained is equal to 10.573.600 (IDR / lg / yr). With a production cost of 2.223.030 (Rp / lg / yr), the average income of farmers in rice farming is 8.350.570 (Rp. / Lg / yr), 3) There is a correlaction between behavior and the income of farmers in Sei Lais Village Kalidoni District is seen from the correlation coefficient value of 0.457.
