Abstract

This research is entitled "The Effectiveness of the Implementation of Direct Expenditures in the Education Quality Assurance Institute of South Sumatra Province in 2018". In 2018 the LPMP of South Sumatra Province saw a decrease in the realization of the use of the direct expenditure budget compared to the previous year with a realization of 87.05% of the total stipulated budget. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of direct expenditure budget implementation at the Education Quality Assurance Agency of South Sumatra Province in 2018. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, data sources are primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the effectiveness of the implementation of the direct expenditure budget in the LPMP of South Sumatra Province in 2018 can be said to be effective, but not all components have achieved the target set due to several obstacles. Suggestions recommended in this research are that there is a need for evaluation and commitment from LPMP South Sumatra employees so that in the future they can make improvements in their performance, provide input or advice to several schools in areas that are plagued by technical problems such as limited use of technological devices, and carry out tighter supervision and coordination so that the implementation of planned programs and activities can be carried out properly.
