Abstract

This article "Community Empowerment through Conversion of Swamp Land to Agricultural Production Land in Swamp Land Teluk Gelam District Ogan Komering Ilir" The purpose of this study is about the description of community empowerment through the conversion of swamp land to agricultural production land and the potential and constraints faced by the community in Rawa Land, Teluk Gelam Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method with phenomenological study approach, while the number of informants in this study were 8 people selected purposively. Data accumulation method is done by observation, interview, and documentation.This study uses the theory of Community Empowerment from Mardikunto (2014) The results of the study found that the conversion of swamp land into agricultural production land is a form of program based on the community's desire to do change their life.
