Abstract

This study examines "Community Behavior in Utilizing Musi River Water in Daily Life (Community Study in the Musi River Basin RT 1)". The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of the banks of the Musi II River (Two) people in the utilization of the Musi Dua river water in the District of Gandus, Palembang. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, while the number of informants in this study were 8 people who were selected purposively. Data collection techniques are done by observation, interview and documentation. This study uses Behavioral Theory from Soerlita Sarwono (2012). The results of this study found that 1) The underlying factors were lack of clean water supply and toilets, lack of community knowledge about environmental cleanliness, weak government supervision; 2) Community behavior is based on several motives, such as habitual factors practiced by the banks of the Musi II river (two), perception factors, economic factors, and comfort factors.
