Abstract

This research is about Women's Empowerment of Pempek and Kemplang Shrimp Businesses in the Village of Sungsang II Banyuasin Districts. This research aims for the empowerment of women entrepreneurs Pempek and Kemplang Shrimp both in producing and distributing. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, while the informant in this case was 8 people who were chosen accordingly. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interview and documentation. This research uses the theory of women's empowerment from the national development strategy formulation team or BAPENAS. (in Nugroho, 2008). the results of the study found that women's empowerment of pempek and shrimp is one of the characteristics of the success of the program women's empowerment in Sungsang II Village, through the tourism village empowerment program that began in early 2019 then provided benefits and business opportunities for pempek and kemplang seller in production or distribution.
