Abstract

This study aims to describe the analysis of the needs of students and teachers of teaching materials and describe the results of the validation of teaching materials to re-create anecdotal texts using the Juggle Jack application in class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Payaraman. This research is research and development with a modified 4-D development model. However, this study only reached the stage of development (develop) researchers did not reach the stage of dissemination (dissemination) because of limited time and research costs. Data was collected through interview techniques, questionnaire techniques, and validation sheets. In analyzing the data obtained from interviews conducted by analyzing the data in detail, then for the questionnaire data obtained is presented, while the data obtained from the validation sheet is described. Researchers validate experts, namely material experts, media experts, and linguists. The results showed that the teaching material developed was declared to be very valid by a validation expert. Material aspects get a value of 31 with a percentage of 77.5%, media aspects get a value of 37 with a percentage of 92.5%, and the language aspect scores a value of 21 with a percentage of 87.5%. This shows that teaching material re-creating anecdotal text using the Juggle Jack application is appropriate for students to use.
