Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the effects of composition of planting media oil palm empty fruit bunches compost and chicken manure with soil on the growth and yield of cauliflower. This research was conducted from October 2019 to February 2020. The design used in this research was Rendomized Block Design with eleven treatments and three replications. Each unit consisted of 3 plants, so there were 99 plants. The treatments were P0 (soil 100%), P1 (90% soil: 10% chicken manure), P2 (80% soil: 20% chicken manure), P3 (70% soil: 30% chicken manure), P4 (60% soil: 40% chicken manure), P5 (50% soil: 50% chicken manure), P6 (90% soil: 10% tkks), P7 (80% soil: 20% tkks), P8 (70% soil: 30% tkks), P9 (60% soil: 40% tkks), P10 (50% soil: 50% tkks). The result showed that P4 treatment (60% soil: 40% chicken manure) was the best treatment at plant height variables with an average value of 33,61 cm, number of leaves with an average value of 12,67, plants fresh weight an average value 384,47 g, canopy fresh weight an average value of 339,23 g, roots fresh weight an average value of 18,13 g, leaf area an average value of 479,69 cm2 and flower fresh weight an average value of 130,83 g.
