Abstract

This study aims to look at the level of inequality between Eastern Indonesia and analyze the effect of HDI and Poverty on Development Inequality in Eastern Indonesia. The analysis technique used is a qualitative analysis technique using the Williamson Index calculation method and quantitative analysis technique using multiple panel data regression methods. The results of this study show that inequality between Provinces in Eastern Indonesia is relatively low, the average value of the Williamson Index from 2014-2018 was 0.38. The HDI variable has a positive and significant effect on the development inequality variable with a coefficient value of 2.038108. The poverty level variable has a negative and significant effect on the development inequality variable with a coefficient of 2.617784.
