Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of each variable of Loan Interest Rates, GDP, Inflation, and Exchange Rates on the Non Performing Loan. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the publication of Indonesian Banking Statistics (OJK) and Bank Indonesia (BI). The analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis with the selected model using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results of this study indicate that regional development bank Non-Performing Loans are still inefficient with an average efficiency value for 2014-2018 of 1.69 percent and 0.71 percent, respectively, with a downward trend in the performance of Regional Development Banks. The NPL, GRDP and Exchange Rate variables together have a significant influence on the Regional Development Bank, while the Inflation and Loan Interest variables do not have a significant effect on the Regional Development Bank in southern Sumatra.
