Abstract

DC motor is a motor that is often used in technology today. We find many DC motors in the household or in an industry. DC motor has a fast response but in controlling the rotation speed is still difficult to control and there is still a steady state error. From this, in this study conducted a study that could control the rotation speed of the dc motor. In the case of controlling the rotation speed of the dc motor using the PID control. With the help of Arduino Uno as a medium to help maintain PID control. In this study the PID method used is a trial and error method. Where to search by entering the value of Kp, Ki, and Kd one by one. The present study found Kp value of 6, Ki 0.1, and Kd 2. After obtaining Kp, Ki, and Kd values, the researchers then conducted experiments with different RPM. First 1700 RPM, second 2000 RPM and the third 2000 RPM with obstacles. In the 1700 RPM experiment an average RPM of 1706 RPM was obtained with a small Steady State Error of 0.3%. In the 2000 RPM experiment, the average RPM obtained was 2002 RPM with a Steady State Error which was also small at 0.1%. In the 2000 RPM experiment with disturbance, it showed good results where when the disturbance was released the graph returned to the initial setpoint of 2000 RPM. This shows that the values ​​of Kp, Ki, and Kd succeed in controlling the rotation speed of the dc motor.
