Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the growth and yield of the onion varieties of Bima Brebes with the treatment from phosphorus fertilizer and biochar. This research was held in Kecamatan Kalidoni Kelurahan Sei. Selayur Palembang on April until June 2020. This research used the onion seed of varieties Bima Brebes. This research used the Randomized Block Design Factorial method with 2 factors that was consisting of 16 treatments, 3 repeats, and 48 experimental units, each unit consisted of 2 plants, so the total of plants was 96 plants. The first factor that was Phosporus fertilize (P) , P0 = 100 kg ha^(-1) (1,36 g/ plant), P1 = 75 kg ha^(-1) (0,85 g/ plant), P2 = 50 kg ha^(-1) (0,56 g/ plant), and P3 = 25 kg ha^(-1) (0,28 g/ plant). The second factor that was biochar (B), B0= Kontrol (100% soil), B1= 10 ton ha^(-1) (51 g/ plant), B2= 20 ton ha^(-1) (102 g/ plant), B3= 30 ton ha^(-1) (153 g/ plant). The observed parameters included the heinght of the plants, the number of leaves, the number of tillers, the number of tubers, the diameter of tubers, the weight of fresh tubers and the weight of wind dried of tubers. Diversity analysis used the anova test and continued with BNJ 5% test. The result showed that there was an interaction between the treatment of phosphorus fertilizer and biochar. The used of biochar with the higher dose as the planting media will give more the efficient of the used phosphorus fertilizer. It was showed by phosphorus fertilize treatment in dose 25 kg ha^(-1) (0,28 g/ plant) and the biochar treatment in dose 30 ton ha^(-1) (153 g/ plant) that was P3B3 treatment that gave the different real results to the parameters of the number of tubers, the diameter of tubers, the weight of fresh tubers and the weight of wind dried of tubers.
