Abstract

DANIEL ORTEGA, Evaluation of Peat Restoration Community Empowerment Program in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency (Supervised by YULIAN JUNAIDI and YUNITA). Community empowerment can be interpreted as an effort to restore or enhance the ability of a community to be able to act in accordance with their dignity and dignity in carrying out their rights and responsibilities as members of the community. The Peat Restoration Agency. has carried out community empowerment activities as part of efforts to disseminate and utilize research results to improve community welfare. Program activities carried out by the Peat Restoration Agency. include the Economic Revitalization Program for Swamp Buffalo Development which is expected to improve the community's economy. The objectives of this research are: (1) Measuring the level of community participation in the peat restoration program in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (2) Measuring the success rate of community empowerment of the peat restoration program in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (3) Analyze how the level of participation and the level of success of community empowerment in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency are analyzed. This research was carried out in Bangsal Village, Pampangan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency from March to April 2020. Determination of the location was done deliberately (purposive). With survey method. The sampling method used in this study is a simple random sampling method with a total of 30 respondents from 86 communities. Data obtained from the results of direct interviews using the questionnaire, in the form of primary and secondary data. Data processing to answer the first goal using score calculation with planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation indicators, to answer the second goal using score calculation with demonstration plot and business development indicators, to answer the third goal using Spearman Rank correlation analysis. The results showed that the level of community participation in the peat restoration program in Bangsal Village was of medium criteria. The success rate of the peat restoration program in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is at a high criterion. There is a relationship between the level of community participation and the level of success of the peat restoration program in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency.
