Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the high order thinking skills of students of SMAN 1 Sipirok in fluid material. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. Data collection was done through multiple choice, cause-effect, and essays. The sample of this research was 25 students of SMAN 1 Sipirok class XII in the academic year 2020/2021. Based on data analysis, the results of this study indicate that students' high-level thinking skills are still low. Where based on each indicator obtained by students with the ability to analyze by 43%, the ability to evaluate by 40%, and the ability to create by 47%. The results of this study are expected to provide information about students 'higher order thinking skills in fluid material and can be used as a reference in order to improve students' higher order thinking skills.
