Abstract

The research location is administratively located in the village of Tanjungraja and its surroundings, Gumai Ulu, Lahat with an area of 49km2, while geologically, it is in the South Sumatra Basin. Pasumah Formation based on petrographic analysis. The research method was carried out through several stages including the preliminary stage, data collection, analysis and interpretation, studio work as well as the stage of preparing reports and conclusions. The results showed that the geological conditions including geomorphology, stratigraphy and geological structure of the research area are quite complex. Based on geomorphological aspects, the study area consists of 3 land forms, namely river channel units, hills with flat - steep slopes, high hills with slopes to very steep. The landform units are distinguished based on their morphological appearance and also the geomorphic processes that affect the formation process. The stratigraphy of the study area based on the sequence begins with deposition of the Gumai Formation and then the Pasumah Formation is unconformably aligned. In the study area there is a geological structure obtained from stereographic analysis. The structure is the Tanjunglinja Anticline with the direction of the NW-SE alignment. The geological history of the study area starts from the deposition of the Gumai Formation in the Early Miocene, then the formation was deformed in the Early Miocene - Early Plistocene to form geological structures. After that the Pasumah Formation was unconformably deposited over the Baturaja Formation during the Plistocene Period. The research location is administratively located in the village of Tanjungraja and its surroundings, Gumai Ulu, Lahat with an area of 49km2, while geologically, it is in the South Sumatra Basin.
