Systematic review that used content analysis with a search method using an electronic database such as google scholar and pubmed. The inclusion criteria used are research articles that focus on the effects of phototherapy on decreasing bilirubin in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia that can be accessed by free full text with a range published in 2011-2020. Phototherapy is an effective treatment for neonates with hyperbilirubinemia. The things that must be considered to increase the effectiveness of this phototherapy is double phototherapy with a distance of 20 cm from the baby can be applied from phototherapy. The use of phototherapy using reflective curtains can also be used to increase the surface area exposed and produce greater spectral radiation. Color phototherapy can use blue lights or turquoise color lights and LED type lights which are proven to be more effective than conventional phototherapy.
