Abstract

PT Kaltim Prima Coal is a large company located in Sangatta sub-district, Kutai Timur district, East Kalimantan province and operates mining operations based on the Mining Business License Area covering an area of 90,960 hectares until 2021. The mining process is carried out using dumptruck and shovel with the open pit method. One measure of achievement to determine the optimal work of mechanical tools in coal mining in the coal mining department is to monitor the Dumptruck usage value, the coal mining department budget data for 2019 can be seen that the delay shift change and meal break activities are quite high which affects the usage dumptruck value. To maximize dumptruck performance, it is necessary to analyze the delay reduction in operating standby, namely shift change and mealbreak, where the results of the observation of delay shiftchange reached 82.82 hours / day and can be reduced to 61.3 hours / day by implementing time limit strategies for dumptruck entering the shiftchange area. , Limit of Preparing Time, Implementation of Hot Shifchange System. The application of the results of the analysis of the usage dumptruck value of the coal mining department has increased from the actual observation data of 71.01% to 72.35%, while the analysis of meal breaks using the 4 staggered backup system obtained mealbreak delay data of 2,024.63 hours / month with a value per unit 0.93 which is already below the coal mining department's target plan of 0.95 hours / day. The reduction in shift change that occurred from the use of staggered 3 in 2019 with a usage value of 71.00% became a staggered 4 of 71.55%, where with an increase in the usage value of 0.55%.
