Abstract

DFR (Digital Fault Recorder) and TWS (Traveling Wave System) equipment which functions to record and store the data system condition automatically before, at the time of the disturbance and at the time after the disturbance, both in the form of disturbance type data and disturbance distance. This study uses the results of the recorded data on the DFR equipment which will be analyzed with the results of determining the characteristics of the disturbance that occurs by using the fault signature method and determining the location of the disturbance with the recorded data then it will be compared with the results of the recording on the TWS equipment. During the analysis process, the reseacher looked at the notes in the form of I Faul) and V Fault for each disturbance with data obtained within a period of 8 months starting from January 14 to August 12 2020. Furthermore, I Fault and V Fault will be taken as input in formula processing. With the result obtained that there were 8 disturbance caused by lightning, 1 disturbance caused by tree/ground, and 1 disturbance caused by dirty isolator and difference between the two rasio ± 0,5 KM with between difference 0,07 – 0,5 KM. The result obtained that there were from 6 disturbance immediately checked in the field have 4 disturbance approaching from manual calculation used record file DFR Equipment and 2 other disturbance approaching with record file from TWS equipment. So in terms of accuracy and optimalization, manual calculation very effective for used.
