Abstract

PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk is engaged in the coal mining industry located in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra. At the mining location for pit 3 Timur Banko Barat in November 2019, the production target for overburden stripping was 1,000,000 BCM, but the realization was not achieved, only 840,505 bcm / month or around 84%. So it is necessary to evaluate the performance of the dig and load equipment that work on overburden stripping in pit 3 Timur Banko Barat. In this study comparing the real production calculations in the field and theoretical. This study aims to analyze the achievement of overburden stripping production, the constraints that affect the achievement of overburden stripping production, and evaluate efforts to increase overburden stripping production. The results of this research are that the actual productivity of the Komatsu PC 3000 shovel excavator and the Belaz Rigid Truck transportation equipment is 2,387.88 BCM / hour and 2,296.14 BCM / hour with the achievement level of overburden stripping production of 81.3%. The main factor affecting the performance of the digging and transporting equipment is the low efficiency of the operator. There are 20 types of obstacles that cause low work efficiency. Large time constraints cause the effective working time to be low, only 354.1 hours with a work efficiency of 49.80%. So an effort is made to overcome the existing obstacles by eliminating or minimizing the obstacles that can be avoided, including no operator, start operation, start rest time, stop operation, stop rest time and waiting fuel. So that the effective working time increased to 435,1 hours with a work efficiency of 60.43%. After evaluating the production of digging and transporting tools, the production increased to 1.281.330,34 BCM and 1.232.120,53 BCM respectively with a production achievement level of 123%.
