Abstract

This research was conducted to reduce excessive heat in solar panels and increase the output power produced by the Monocristal solar panel 100 WP by adding an alumumium perforated plate as a cooling media solar panel. The source of energy used is halogen lamps and data retrieval is done automatically by Datalogger. From the results of the experiment has been obtained results as an example at an altitude of 40 cm, namely voltage 18.50 V, current 4.24 A, the temperature over 47 oC, and the temperature below 33.50 oC when using A perforated aluminum plate. When not using perforated aluminum plate is obtained the result of voltage 14.71 V, current 3.18 A, temperature over 55.00 oC, and the temperature below 38.38 oC. From the results of the test has been obtained the ideal height of 40 cm where the output power is more optimal with sufficient radiation. Aluminum perforated plate can reduce excess heat in the solar panels so as to maintain and increase the output power from the solar panels.
