Abstract

Type II Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood (hyperglycemia), whose prevalanced increases time by time. Type II DM can cause serious complications even death if there is not managed immediately. Prolanic exercise is a government program and one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can reduce blood glucose levels. But, prolanic exercise does not implemented optimally right now. This study aims to describe type II diabetes mellitus knowledge about the implementation of prolanic exercise and DM treatment. This study type is descriptive with quantitative approach. There were 74 samples that have been carried out by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed by univariate analysis. The results of this study showed that the description of type II DM patients knowledge about the implementation of prolanic exercise are good knowledge 18 people (24.3%), enough 33 people (44.6%) and less 23 people (31,1%). Meanwhile, the results of type II DM patients knowledge about DM treatment are good knowledge as many as 41 people (55.4%), enough 26 people (35.1%) and less than 7 people (9.5%). Based on the results of this study, it can give information that there are respondents with qualified in less cateory about prolanic exercise implementation and DM treatment. There are still more effforts to increase DM patients knowledge. In suggestion for each health stakeholders are having more participated to give information about prolanic exercise and DM treatment in order to all patients can be joining prolanic exercise frequently and doing DM treatment exactly for preventing of DM complications.
