Abstract

Latar Belakang: Giant cell tumor of bone adalah neoplasma tulang yang jinak namun bersifat agresif lokal. Tumor ini ditandai dengan banyaknya sel raksasa mirip osteoklas sehingga menyebabkan resorpsi tulang berlebihan. Tumor ini mencakup 5% dari seluruh kasus tumor tulang primer dan biasanya menyerang pasien usia produktif yaitu 20 – 45 tahun. Kerusakan tulang akibat tumor ini dapat menimbulkan berbagai manifestasi, mengurangi fungsi sendi, dan mengganggu aktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi dan karakteristik klinis giant cell tumor of bone di RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang periode 2 Januari 2015 – 31 Desember 2019. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif observasional dengan data sekunder dari data rekam medik pasien di RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang tahun 2015 – 2019. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumah 18 kasus giant cell tumor of bone dan 1 kasus rekuren. Hasil: Prevalensi giant cell tumor of bone di RSUP Dr. Moh. Hoesin Palembang tahun 2015 – 2019 adalah 11,24% dari seluruh kasus tumor tulang primer dengan prevalensi tertinggi pada tahun 2017 (35,29%). Rentang usia pasien pada penelitian ini adalah 3 – 56 tahun dan kasus terbanyak ditemukan pada kelompok usia 31 – 35 tahun (27,8%). Pada penelitian ini giant cell tumor of bone lebih banyak terjadi pada laki-laki (66,7%). Lokasi yang paling banyak terjadi adalah distal femur (27,8%). Karakteristik klinis yang paling sering ditemukan pada pasien adalah pembengkakan. Simpulan: Prevalensi giant cell tumor of bone di RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang periode 2 Januari 2015 – 31 Desember 2019 adalah 11,24% dari seluruh kasus tumor tulang prime. Pembengkakan merupakan karakteristik klinis yang paling sering ditemukan pada pasien. Kata Kunci: giant cell tumor of bone, prevalensi, karakteristik klinis
