Abstract
This study aims to determine the numeracy ability of grade VII students in working on problems like PISA framework of algebraic material. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach and the research subjects are Grade VII students of SMP IT Harapan Mulia Palembang. In this study, there are 9 questions used, which are questions using the PISA framework with Change and Relationship content, where the results of the research show that numeracy indicators that often appear are using numbers and symbols related to basic mathematics in solving daily life problems, while indicators that rarely appear are indicators of interpreting the results of the analysis. Students with high abilities have high numeracy skills, this is different from students with low abilities who have less numeracy skills, this is because students tend to find it difficult to draw conclusions or interpret the results of the analysis that has been done.
