Abstract

This study is entitled "Implementation of the Election / Determination of the Members of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Masam Bulau Village, Lahat Regency". This research is motivated by the existence of problems such as differences in the method of consensus deliberations carried out in the selection of BPD members in Masam Bulau Village, namely by direct election (voting) and still a little bit villagers who nominate themselves as candidates for BPD members of Masam Bulau Village. Then the low of villangres attendance in the election /determination of BPD members. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Village Consultative Council (BPD) Membership Election / Determination in Masam Bulau Village, Lahat Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This study uses the theory of implementation from Donald Van Meter and Van Horn based on six indicators, namely size and policy objectives, resources, characteristics of implementing agents, attitudes / tendencies (disposition) of the implementers, communication between organizations and implementing activities, social and political economic environment. The results of the study show that the factors that effectively influence are the soci-economic environment and society.the results of this study recommend that more socialization is needed so that the people’s mindset changes and can participate more in the implementation of the deliberation for the election of BPD members. then in delivering messages regarding the implementation of the election / appointment of BPD members according to the Village community's spare time.
