Abstract

THIS STUDY AIMS TO ANALYZE THE CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE OF THE WORKING POOR IN THE INFORMAL SECTOR AND THE FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE OF THE WORKING POOR IN THE INFORMAL SECTOR IN PALEMBANG CITY. THIS STUDY USES PRIMARY DATA AND THE SAMPLE SELECTION METHOD USED IS THE SLOVIN METHOD. MULTIPLE LINEAR REGRESSION ANALYSIS IN THIS STUDY AIMS TO ANALYZE THE FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE OF POOR WORKERS IN THE INFORMAL SECTOR. SAMPLING WAS CARRIED OUT BY SIMPLE RANDOM SAMPLING METHOD OF 99 POOR WORKERS IN THE INFORMAL SECTOR. THE RESULTS OF THIS STUDY SHOW THAT SIMULTANEOUSLY THE VARIABLES OF INCOME, NUMBER OF FAMILY MEMBERS, WORKING AGE, AND MIGRATION STATUS HAVE A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON THE CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE OF POOR WORKERS IN THE INFORMAL SECTOR IN PALEMBANG CITY, WHILE PARTIALLY INCOME AND NUMBER OF FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE A SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE EFFECT ON CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE OF POOR WORKERS IN PALEMBANG. INFORMAL SECTOR IN PALEMBANG CITY.
