Abstract

Motorbikes are one of the most commonly used means of transportation today. Motorbikes have a sleek and lightweight body so that they are in demand from the lower class to the upper class. The integrity of a motorbike that is able to run perfectly must be supported by the frame components, the frame is used as a support for the engine, besides that the frame is used for the suspension system and the electrical system in the form of force. The force received can be simulated using the ANSYS 17.2 program. ANSYS is a software that can be used to find stress, strain and displacement and simulate simulations caused by loads from loads and loads. In the simulation using ANSYS software, the load used is between 70kg rider, 30kg passenger, 13kg tank, and 40kg engine load. The result of the largest principal stress value from the simulation is 3.5867x108 Pa and the maximum main stress value is -1.0654x107 Pa. The amount in the stress analysis on the motor frame R15 shows that the Von Misses voltage sum (3.0081 x 108Pa) which still occurs is below the yield voltage (3.05 x 108 Pa) so the R15 motor frame is safe to use. The results of the strain analysis on the motor frame R15 show that the sum of the full strain is 1.5813 x 10-3 of the strain of 3.525 x 107. The results that are exchanged are 0 mm and the maximum results are in the range of 5.1843 x 104 m.
