Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self efficacy and hardiness in members of MSS in the city of Palembang. The hypothesis of this study there is a relationship between self efficacy and hardiness in members of MSS in the city of Palembang. The study population was 150 members of MSS in the city of Palembang, a sample of 105 members of MSS in the city of Palembang. The technique used in research sampling is nonprobability sampling with sampling insidental.Hardiness and self efficacy were measured by the hardiness scale and self efficacy scale with reference to the characteristics of hardiness according to Maddi and Khoshaba (2005) and the dimensions of self efficacy according to Bandura (1997). The result of the study were analyzed using correlation pearson product moment. The result of the hypothesis show that the r value is 0,585 (p > 0,005). The result of the hypothesis is accepted and the results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between self efficacy and hardiness in members of MSS in the city of Palembang.
