Abstract

Cultural center is one of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) at the Palembang Cultural Office. Palembang city still lacks art and cultural tourism that has interesting education and recreation which is one of the problems of the lack of public interest in local arts and culture. The existence of Palembang Cultural Park will later be able to facilitate various activities or activities carried out by cultural observers, artists, students, and the general public. Hybrid architectural concepts are applied through a combination of traditional elements with modern elements but still prioritizing local values in the custom of South Sumatra. The local value contained in the building is in the use of the gable roof, the use of the lisplank and the Palembang ornaments that will be used, so that the design results can become an identity of the area.
