Abstract
Indonesia is an agrarian country with abundant natural resources, including the agricultural, plantation, animal husbandry, forestry and fisheries sectors. This condition affects farmers to carry out agricultural activities such as cultivating corn. One of the main diseases in maize that can cause loss of production is anthracnose leaf blight caused by Colletotrichum graminicolar. The research objective was to determine what types of Colletotrichum sp isolates from the host were able to penetrate maize plants and to determine the development of Colletotrichum sp. disease from several hosts on maize plants. The experimental design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. Each treatment was based on differences in the origin of the host, namely Colletotrichum sp. in red chilies, Colletotrichum sp. Cayenne pepper, Colletotrichum sp papaya, Colletotrichum sp. Eggplant and control. The variable observed was disease severity. Observations were made for 18 observations. The results of this study indicated that from several isolates applied, only one pathogen was able to penetrate the maize plant, namely the origin of the eggplant, Colletotrichum gloeosporiodes. The highest intensity of disease attack was found in the treatment of Colletotrichum sp. on red chilies, namely the 15th observation.
