Abstract

The delignification process in this study produced the stdanart of Kappa number pulp (lignin content) of about 19-22 %. The production data of pulp refinery used in this research were taken on September 2, 2019 at the maximum capacity of 4220.6 ADT / D, with tank volume of 5140 m³ dan a height of 68,295 m2. The optimization was conducted by a software application of CFD Ansys Fluent 19.2 with various dosages of White Liquor (NaOH) of 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 g / l and the temperature of 141, 142, 143, 144, 145 0C based on the pulp mill cooking control parameters. The optimun condition was obtained at NaOH of 20 g/L and temperature of 142 oC with lignin kontent of 19,92 %. The simulation result of each variable displayed the contour of mass fractions (lignin, NaOH, Na-Lignate, H2O), reaction kinetics rate, and temperature distribution in digester. The simulation results also were compared with the plant actual data with an error of 3.92%.
