Abstract

The research objective was to determine the role of family's support toward emotional maturity to the students who has single parents at X University. The study hypothesis is the family's support has a role to emotional maturity in students who has single parents at X University. The technique of this research is using insidental sampling of nonprobability sampling which total respondents are 100 students that has single parents at X University. The family's support is refer to kinds of Friedman (1998), meanwhile emotional maturity is refer to the characteristics of Schneiders (1960). This research uses the analyze data of multiple regression. The result of the regression analysis showed value of p= 0,001 (p<0,05). It showed that familiy's support has significant role to emotional maturity. The contribution of R square= 0,186, it means that most of role family's support in the effect of emotional maturity is 18, 6%. Thus the hypothesis is accepted that there is family's support toward emotional maturity to the students who has single parents at X University.
