Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of self esteem to motivation to become civil servant at South Sumatera Citizen. Hypothesis in this study there is role of self esteem to motivation become civil servant at South Sumatera citizen. The subject were South Sumatera Citizen amounted to 150 people that have high school program as minimum education. Data collection method using self esteem and motivation become civil servant’s scale. This study using purposive sampling technique as data collection technique. The result were analyze using simple linier regression analysis. The result of regression analysis shows that R=0,535, F=59,315, R square=0,286 and P=0,000 (p<0,000) that indicated there is a role of self esteem to motivation to become civil servant at South Sumatera citizen with score of self esteem role is 28,6%. This result shows that the hypothesis in this study were accepted.
