Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh faktor tekanan dan kesempatan terhadap kecurangan pelaporan keuangan. Faktor tekanan dan kesempatan yang merupakan bagian dari teori fraud triangle dari Donald R. Cressey (1953) telah dikembangkan menjadi fraud risk faetors antara lain financial stability, financial target, external pressure, dan ineffective monitoring. Keempat fraud risk faetors tersebut divyakilkan oleh variabel proksi antara lain ACHANGE, ROA, LEVERAGE, dan BDOUT. Sedangakan kecurangan pelaporan keuangan dalam penelitian ini diukur dengan manajemen laba. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2009 sampai 2012. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 29 perusahaan perbankan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa financial stability secara negative dan signifikan berpengaruh terhadap kecurangan pelaporan keuangan. Sementara itu, financial target, externalpressure, dan ineffective monitoring tjdak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kecurangan pelaporan keuangan.
