Abstract

Penerapan Good Corporate Governance merupakan suatu langkah untuk meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji perbedaan nilai perusahaan antara kelompok sepuluh besar dengan kelompok non sepuluh besar (analisis terhadap penilaian dan pemeringkatan Corporate Govemance Perception Index). Variabel skor GCG digunakan sebagai indicator GCG, sedangkan Tobin’s Q digunakan sebagai indicator nilai perusahaan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan go public yang telah mengikuti CGPI selama tahun 2009-2011. Berdasarkan metode purposive sampling, diperoleh 53 perusahaan sampel. Data yang digunakan diambil dari laporan CGPI dan laporan keuangan tahunan dari tahun 2009-2011. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan metode statistik melalui analisis uji beda, yaitu analisis Independent Sample T-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai perusahaan kelompok sepuluh besar dengan kelompok non sepuluh besar pada tahun 2009 dan 2010. Sedangkan pada tahun 2011, tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai perusahaan kelompok sepuluh besar dengan kelompok non sepuluh besar.
