Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between adversity quotient with self esteem in fresh graduates of bachelor degree in Palembang. The hyphotesis of the study that there is relationship between adversity quotient with self esteem in fresh graduates of bachelor degree in Palembang. Study population were fresh graduates of bachelor degree in Palembang who unemployed at minimum 10 month. The sample of study were 150 people and for the try out were 50 people. This study used purposive sampling technique. Study measurement instruments used self esteem scale that refres to aspects from Coopersmith (1967), then adversity quotient scale that refers to dimensions of adversity quotient from Stoltz (2004). This study used Pearson’s Product Moment correlation to analyze the data. The result shows that there is a significant relationship between adversity quotient and self esteem with p-value= 0,000 (p<0,05) and r=0,864. Therefore, the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
