Abstract

School is the second educational environment for children after family. School can be good facilitators for children's self-development and personality formation. In the school environment, the child's personality will be formed through a process of socialization, where the socialization process will shape the personality of the child in the community. Socialization plays a role in terms of conveying good things to agae children they have good character and can be a better person in the community both in the place where he lives and elsewhere. This study was aimed at knowing the value of environmental care for children in the Palembang Nature school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with its unit of analysis, namely the Palembang natural school students and students. Data collection was obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews with seven teachers, one janitor and observing students and documentation. The results showed that Palembang natural school students and students were very maintaining the cleanliness of the school environment and the value of environmental care in Palembang natural schools running with the increase in the presence of clean Friday activities to make their personalities become a love of the environment.
