Abstract

Face recognition is a biometric security system that can recognize someone. The way Face scan works is by recording facial data and then saving it into a database. In essence, this feature is used through a camera that can recognize who is stored in the data base. This data stores various things starting from the shape of the eyes, lips, nose, jaw, face shape and others. A lot of face detection research is often used for class absences, cellphones, and so on. The author this time will take advantage of face detection using a locker. The author reasoned that many lockers in schools and in public places were stolen. In operation, the locker security system requires security, one of which is to use the face. One method that can be used to identify faces is the haar cascade. Haar cascade is able to detect faces in real time with a fast process. From the research that has been done, face detection based on haar cascade produces a system that is good enough to detect faces. Retrieval of data as much as 400 data. The test with eyes open, eyes closed, wearing a mask and wearing a hat, the highest accuracy rate was 79,9%. For the lockers themselves, lockers are made to work according to an automatic locker opening system. These results indicate that the Haar cascade can be used to detect faces and can be implemented in the form of a locker.
