Abstract

This calcium fluoride plant with 60.000 tonnes/year production capacity is planned to be built on Gresik Regency, East Java Province in 2024 having a 6 hectares land area. The raw materials that will be used in this plant are fluorosilicic acid, ammonium hydroxide, and calcium carbonate. The production process of this plant refers to US Patent 2018/0155207 A1 with the neutralization process of fluorosilicic acid with ammonium hydroxide, followed by precipitation process of calcium carbonate with ammonium fluoride which will produce calcium fluoride. The temperature and pressure of the first and second reactor is 61°C and 1 atm, and 80°C and 1 atm respectively. Both reactors are Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor. The corporate form of this plant is Incorporated Company (Perseroan Terbatas / PT) with organizational structure of Line and Staff. The plant will be led by a President, with total of 211 labours. According to the economic analyses, this plant is feasible enough to be built since all the following economic parameters have been met.
