Abstract
The research objective was to determine the role of self efficacy to innovative work behavior in agricultural public employees in Banyuasin district. The study hypothesis is self efficacy has a role to innovative work behavior in agricultural public employees in Banyuasin district. The study population was agricultural public employees in Banyuasin district. The study used probability sampling with simple random sampling technique and set 140 people as the number of the respondents. Self efficacy was measured used dimensions from Bandura (1997). Innovative work behavior was measured used dimensions from De Jong dan Den Hartog (2010). Data analyzed using simple regression analysis. The result of the regression analysis showed value of R=0,570; F=66,551 and p=0,000 (<0,05). It showed that self efficacy has significant role to the innovative work behavior. The contribution of R square = 0,325, which means the magnitude of the role of self efficacy in influencing innovative work behavior was 32,5%. Thus the hypothesis is accepted that there is a role of self efficacy towards innovative work behavior in agricultural public employees in Banyuasin district.
