Abstract

Subsequently, following up reports on Facebook, we investigated accounts of further hunting for food of Eyebrowed Thrushes during 2017 and 2018 by villagers in Riau province, Sumatra. Some postings on Facebook accounts explained that hunting of Eyebrowed Thrushes has been a local tradition for a long time; a testament to this is that an old trap of the type used to snare the species is displayed in a local museum in Riau province.
