Abstract

In this study discussed about "community participation in forest and land fire prevention efforts. This research was conducted in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Yng data used in this research is primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews, observations and documentation. Data obtained in the analysis using descriptive qualitative anaslysis method. Researchers interviewed 7 ward villagers and 3 employees of the Ogan Komering Ilir Regency Environmental Agency. After the analysis can be concluded that the general public is more optimally participating in forest and land fire prevention efforts than form groups such as The Fire Care Community (MPA) and the Form of Community Participation is more directed to the idea of mind, energy and material.
