Abstract

The minimum public trust in the company has led to the creation of the CSR concept which causes companies to compete in their CSR programs in order to get a good image in the community. CSR has important role in the sustainability of companies especially multinational companies. There are 8 key performance indicators in implementing qualitative CSR according to Kartini (2009: 54-55). ConocoPhillips Ltd. as an MNC in Indonesia has responsibility for its operational area in Musi Banyuasin. This research uses qualitative methods. The determination of informants was using a purposive technique, involving 2 main informants (CSR program managers) and 5 supporting informants (CSR beneficiaries). The technique of collecting data was carried out by means of observation including interview methods and archival documentation. The results of this study reveal that ConocoPhillips (Grissik) Ltd. has applied eight performance indicators of implementing CSR properly and correctly. Eight key performance indicators consist of (1) participation of superlative management from companies in implementing CSR programs, (2) proportion of assistance provided, (3) Transparency and Accountability, (4) coverage of areas adjusted according to program priorities, (5) Comprehensive planning, clear monitoring and effective evaluation mechanisms for program improvement, (6) participation of stakeholders in every program process, (7) Sustainable program in maintain ecosystem balance and build independent communities, and (8) Tangible results from program implementation.
