Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between psychological well being and organizational commitment of contract teachers in senior high school of Prabumulih city. The hypothesis of this study there is a relationship between psychological well being and organizational commitment of contract teachers in senior high school of Prabumulih city. The study population was all contract teachers in senior high school of Prabumulih city, the research sample consisted of 73 contract teachers in senior high school of Prabumulih city who were taken using population study technique. Psychological well being and organizational commitment are measured by the scale of psychological well being and organizational commitment scale, with reference to the psychological well being of Ryff (1989) and organizational commitment of Allen and Meyer (1997). The result of the study were analyzed using correlation of the person product moment. The result of the hypothesis showed that the value is 0,289 (p>0,05). The result of this study indicates that there is a relationship between psychological well being and organizational commitment of contract teachers in senior high school of Prabumulih city.therefore the hypothesis for this study is accepted.
