Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of education level on political participation in the 2018 Regional Head Election of Banyuasin Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were the people of Mekar Sari Primer 4. The sampling technique used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Documentation and questionnaire data collection techniques. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the influence of education level on education level in the election of the Regional Head of Banyuasin Regency in 2018. The results are seen from the value obtained in community political participation at the education level with a percentage of 59.10%, SMP 67.05%, SMA 77.48% and at the university level 76.66%. The higher the level of education, the higher the political participation of the community, and conversely the lower the level of education, the lower the political participation of the community.
